What is the 7by24 app?

7by24 is the next generation app that allows you to connect with your family and friends all over the world.

7by24 basically turns your mobile contact list into one big community. It allows you to stay in touch without overpaying for calls – especially  to people you keep in contact with in other countries. You can call regular international phone numbers at extremely low rates.

The 7by24 app operates through your iPhone, iOS device, or Android phone 3G, 4G, LTE or Wifi data connection to make voice calls, video calls, or send and receive instant messages, pics, audio messages, and videos. This means that, without using the outgoing minute plan of your mobile provider, you can make low-cost phone calls at any given moment.

(No data. No problem! Once registered, it’s also possible to access your 7by24 pre-paid account to make calls via PIN-less when data is unavailable.)

7by24 – Simple. Easy. Flexible.

Dialing a 7by24 Call

7by24 can work both on your data plan (3G, 4G, LTE) or over Wifi.

Before you make a call, make sure that your device uses your preferred connection type for the call. If your data plan is not unlimited, using Wi-Fi is always the best way to avoid additional charges from your mobile provider.

Once you set up the app, after you open the application, the dialpad will be in front of you. You can then dial the destination normally and touch the green ‘Call’ button icon at the bottom.

7by24 Dialpad.PNG

[Note – For Android phones only, you can whether the app is properly connected to the Internet and ready for use by making sure that the 7by24 icon in your Android notification bar is colored, rather than grayed out.]

When the app is properly connected, your 7by24 account balance should be listed in the lower left corner.

To call an international destination (any country other than the U.S.) dial “011” or “+” or “00” and then the country code and number. For calling U.S. numbers, you can dial using only the 10-digit number
or “1” plus the 10 digit number.

The backspace button deletes the last digit entered.

When you are finished entering the number, press the “Call” button to dial.

The display will switch to a Call view. When they answer, your call will enjoy 7by24’s everyday low international and domestic per minute rates.

Press the big red button at the bottom of the Call view to hang up.

Connecting Through Your Contact List

To access your Contact list, touch the Contacts icon from the upper menu.

7by24 app’s Contacts list can display not only all your contacts, but should also identify which contacts have the 7by24 app installed and registered on their device. When both you and your registered 7by24 contact are online and connect through the 7by24 app, your 7by24 call or instant message is free.*

Within 7by24 Contacts, the bottom menu allows you to select several different views of your contacts as well as add or modify a contact: All. 7by24 registered app users, or favorites. The bottom menu option with a “+” will enable you to add a contact. (Note – Any contact addition or edits made via 7by24 will also change your main device’s Contact information.)

To find a contact within the various Contacts views, you can either scroll down/up to the  desired contact , tap the first letter of the last name, or type in their name in the upper search field. Again, if a ‘7by24’ logo is next to the contact’s name, it means that they have 7by24 app installed and registered, so when they are also online you can reach them through their 7by24 app for free either for a voice call, video call or instant message.3

You will enjoy 7by24’s everyday low rates for all other calls (e.g.,  to your other contacts and offline 7by24 app users). Touch the desired contact to access the specific contact details.
